Ascension Day

This Thursday marks the end of Easter time. The Easter garden will be dismantled, the Paschal candle that we lit as the first symbol of the resurrection in the dusk of Holy Saturday night will move to its "round the year" place beside the font, and we'll stop using "Alleluia" at random moments in our worship.
Thursday is Ascension day, when we remember how Jesus returned to his heavenly Father, and by leaving the fixed, limited locality of 1st century Galilee became present for all people and all times, everywhere.
So, Ascension day is not about saying Goodbye, but rather about experiencing Jesus in new ways, as ruler of the whole world.
It's a great celebration, with great hymns too, and we invite you to share it by coming to our.......
